What is the difference between a superhero and a vigilante
Therefore my mortal enemies are constantly trying to chop my hands off. Therefore they can touch anything around them and use it to protect the rest of me. However, there are far more superheroes that have killed then vigilantes. I took Daredevil and Spider-Man as examples.
Spider-Man started out as a vigilante but was then later named as a superhero. While there still is some controversy about whether or not Spider-Man is still a vigilante or a superhero, he landed a spot in the Avengers, a team of superheroes.
As far as I know, he hasn't killed anyone. At least not on purpose. He started out much like Spider-Man; a tragic backstory, a weird occurrence that resulted in powers, and a strong sense of justice.
All that's really different is Spider-Man's ability to shoot webs. Well, it's unlikely because of the above comparison of powers. But let's look at the powers of two superheroes. Superman obviously shouts out as a powered person while Batman doesn't. Superman has far more superpowers then Batman. Superman has superstrength, laser eyes, and flight to name a few things.
Batman just has the privilege of being a rich, white man. So it seems unlikely that it's due to powers.
