Unfortunately, even though Lana and Clark were reunited at the end of Season 8, she left once again -- this time, for good. Kreuk appeared in Smallville for a total of seven years, and in a Metro interview, she explained that her decision to leave the show after Season 7 had a lot to do with that.

But as Kreuk revealed to Metro in , it was ultimately her decision to leave Smallville. Lana has changed so much since the first season.

So she was always fun to play. After Lana collapsed in pain and passed out, Lex was forced to tell her that she had suffered complications and miscarried the baby. Lana was heartbroken by this revelation and began to cry bitterly.
